For five and a half years, General Douglas MacArthur helped war-torn Japan rebuild after World War II. As Supreme Commander of the Allied Powers in Japan, MacArthur sat in his 6th-floor office in what used to be an insurance building giving orders. Now, over 60 years after he left Japan, MacArthur's office is going to open to the public, as he left it.
